The Historian, the newsletter of the Rogers Park/West Ridge Historical Society received the 1997 Award of Merit for publications from the Illinois Association of Museums.

The Historian welcomes guest columnists anytime. To submit a story to The Historian you can mail copy including the author's name, a short bio, and mailing address (so we can mail you a hard copy of the newsletter) to:

Information Needed for Stories

The Historian is looking for short stories about the property at 6455 N. Sheridan Road. This is the current home of the Granada Centre, former home of the Granada Theater. Remembrances of going to the Granada at any period of time are needed for upcoming stories. Please include your name and snail mail address in your e-mail communications so we can quote you in the story and send you a hard copy of the newsletter.

Back issues of the newsletter are available at the Society office for a nominal fee.
