by Neal Samors and Michael Williams, with Mary Jo Doyle.
Oral histories were conducted with more than 125 current and former neighborhood residents, including
Shecky Greene, Hugh Downs, Harold Ramis, Ira Berkow, Joel Weisman, Jan Schakowsky, Sr. Ann Ida Gannon, Neil Hartigan, Art Berman, and Scott Turow.
Quotes from these interviews are used throughout the new book.
