7110 N. Clark Street

1948

The first Affy Tapple was created by the Kastrup family. According to history, this was the first caramel apple created in the United States-which is why their tagline is "The Original Caramel Apple!" And, they still use the same caramel recipe developed by Mrs. Edna Kastrup in 1948!

1952

The Kastrup family opened the Affy Tapple store at 7110 N. Clark Street in Chicago. Why the name Affy Tapple? So it would be the first name in the phone book!

1995

The Founding Family—the Kastrups—sold the company to private investors.

2000

Affy Tapple moved from it's original location on Clark Street to a new state-of-the-art facility at 7425 N. Croname Road in Niles, IL.
