Bruce is manager of signage and wayfinding for the CTA and author of several books on the transit system's history.

A life-long Chicago resident with an avid interest in transportation history and operations, Mr. Moffat's interest in the "L" dates back to childhood days on the city's west side. His interest in the Chicago Tunnel Company dates from his early college days. Holding degrees in Mass Communications and Urban Planning from Illinois State University and the University of Illinois respectively, Mr. Moffat has worked in various operations, planning, and capital grant administration capacities with the Chicago Transit Authority, Continental Air Transport and the Regional Transportation Authority.
