son, Elisha P. Essley (by previous marriage). Not known whether of Elisha or Mary

Lived on farm until 1886;

machinery salesman, St. Louis, Missouri, 1886-9;

removed to Chicago and became connected with Lodge, Davis & Company, Machinery, 1889-91;

with Manning, Maxwell & Moore, Machinery, 1891-1900,

McDowell-Stocker Company, Machinery 1900-8;

established 1908, The E.L. Essley Machinery Company, machine tools, of which is president

Republican.

Member: Royal Arcanum.
