Hillman's Food Store was located in the basement at 2434 W. Devon Avenue and operated by the Stern Family, also owners of Stop & Shop.

RPWRHS photo S088-013 shows Devon Avenue from the roof of a building on the north side of the 2400 block of Devon looking east towards the intersection of Devon and Artesian Avenue in 1955. Hillman's Food Store occupied the entire basement of this building.
