Jack's House, 7113 N. Western Avenue, is a popular barber shop in West Ridge. The owner, Jack O'Kane is an active supporter of St. Margaret Mary School activities. Being an appointment only shop, Jack's clientele are usually "old timers," that is, men who have been coming to Jack literally for decades. Fathers, their sons, and in some cases, their son's sons visit Jacks regularly. There's always a game on the television. The kids know where Jack keeps the suckers and lollipops and are free to raid the jar. This is a one-barber shop. No manicurists, no shoe-shine boys. Just Jack. Closed January 2013
