John Sargon Saul, clergyman, editor;

born at: Strathroy, Ontario, Canada, on May 31, 1845;

son of: Richard Saul and Ann Saul, nee: Ann Ranby

education: Strathroy Collegiate Institution;

married: Mary Woodruff Saul, nee: Mary Woodruff Tarbell, of Jersey City, New Jersey, and New York City, on October 22, 1873;

children: Sophie Marion Saul, Bessie Saul, John Woodruff Saul, William Ranby Saul.

Came to U.S., 1865;

engaged in newspaper business in Canada, Dakota (which ?) and Wisconsin for a number of years;

ordained in the ministry Church of the New Jerusalem (Swedenborgian), 1872;

pastor at Cleveland, East Rockport, Ohio, and Chicago;

general pastor Illinois Association of New Jerusalem since 1905, also editor New Church Messenger.
