Began in employ of American Glucose Company as a boy, 1891,

and was president of same several years until 1910;

was also secretary and treasurer of the National Starch Company and director of Corn Products Refining Company to 1910; senior member of firm of J.P. Griffin & Company, grain commn., since 1910.

Member: Chicago Board. of Trade (director, 1907, vice president, 1914, president 1915-16).

Clubs: Chicago Athletic Club, Westmoreland Country Club.
