Pratt, George

From HistoryWiki

Pratt Boulevard was named for twin brothers Paul and George Pratt.

George Pratt and Paul Pratt, came to Evanston in 1837. George drowned in Lake Michigan.

Paul and George did some tree harvesting in Evanston. They would bring their trees to the lake shore for transportation on the lake elsewhere, and it was during one of these times that George became trapped and subsequently drowned.

The brothers were born in 1807. George's death date is unknown. Paul died in 1896.

The listing, below, is obviously NOT the George Pratt that was Paul's brother. It's someone else.

What's not known as of September 2013, whether this could have been a child of either of the Pratt brothers or a totally different person.
